You are not alone. You are not the first person who has needed help overcoming addiction and/or alcoholism.
You Are Not Alone
You will also not be the first person to receive successful treatment from our drug and alcohol rehab facilities in Newport Beach, California. Thousands of men and women who have called us have faced the same struggle, pain, and suffering that you are experiencing right now.
As many as 30 million Americans suffer from alcoholism and addiction and many millions more are affected because they care about a person who is in need of addiction treatment. There are also millions of Americans who are living incredible lives of recovery after seeking treatment at a facility like Sober Living by the Sea.
What to Expect
It may seem scary to contemplate admitting (or sending a loved one) to a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, but it is truly a process infused with hope. You probably have many questions about what life will be like during treatment at one of Sober Living by the Sea’s rehab programs (click here for an overview of all our rehab programs).
Be sure to check out our Frequently Asked Questions page to learn about what to pack and how to prepare for admission to our treatment center.
Once you pick up the phone and call one of our caring admissions counselors, the process will seem less daunting and mysterious. You will talk with an intake specialist who can guide you through an assessment in a patient and caring way. Our staff has heard and seen just about everything in our 23 years of treating recovering men and women.
Whether you are calling on behalf of a loved one or yourself, all of your questions will be answered in a non-judgmental and completely confidential manner. Shortly, an initial assessment of the drug abuse will be made over the phone and a level of care will be recommended. After this phone assessment, you or your loved one may visit us onsite to learn more about what the treatment process is like. After taking a tour of the facilities and having all of your questions answered, it will be time for a more in-depth physical and psychological screening and assessment by one of our consulting physicians to ensure that you or your family member receives the proper level of care.
After this “in person” screening, the man or woman who is admitting to receive treatment will be taken to his or her comfortable and private residence and will be shown around the living quarters. After a few minutes of getting familiar with the residence and receiving an explanation of the facility policies and schedule, the man or woman will begin participating in a therapy session, workshop, or a 12-step meeting. The client who has begun treatment will be assigned a detailed and personalized activity schedule and will be fully instructed on how to proceed in their recovery. At this point, the family members can rest easy with the knowledge that their loved one is in a safe and caring environment receiving the most effective rehabilitation treatment available.
