Here is a very grateful letter written to our staff in thanks for the experience that her son had in our college sobriety program.
Hello Jennifer,
This is a belated note to you thanking you for all you have done to help Tom during his time at Sober Living by the Sea. We had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving with him and Jesse also flew in from New York - where he is completing his first college semester. I see a lot of very positive changes in Tom and he has let us meet his sponsor and his friends.
Tom also has a lovely girlfriend who we truly like, and he seems happier than I have ever seen him. Tom's room mate Taylo is also a wonderful young man. They both have grown so much as a result of everyone’s help.
So with that said, I hope you, and everyone in this email had a great Thanksgiving and best wishes for a wonderful holiday season. I stopped in the Center and had the pleasure of meeting Emily in person for the first time. I know you were out of town for Thanksgiving, and we are sorry we missed seeing you to thank you in person.
I am very grateful to you Jennifer, Jerry Debeau, Emily, and the rest of your staff at the T.E.A.C.H. Program. All of you are so dedicated to helping others. Tom will continue to see Dr. Brown as needed and will continue to do random drug and alcohol screening via Jerry DeBeau.
I will recommend anyone I see professionally to use Sober Living by the Sea for recovery. I would love to see the Sober Living by the Sea model for Extended Care reproduced here on the east coast in Florida. It would help so many young people. This may be part of my vision for the future as I venture forward in my new practice, Best Life Counseling.
