Our Approach to Treating Adderall Addiction
More and more clients arrive at our drug rehab center addicted to drugs like Adderall, speed, ecstasy, cocaine, and other stimulants/amphetamines. These men and women have different needs than our clients who abuse alcohol or use mainly depressants (like marijuana, heroin, vicodin, or oxycontin).
People who have become mentally and physically dependent on prescription drugs like Adderall are often prone to denial. Our psychiatrist and therapists have the ability to assess our clients thoroughly to identify behavioral or mood disorders like ADHD, depression, PTSD, depression, and others. Once properly identified, our clinical staff makes sure that the appropriate level of care is provided for the chemical dependency as well as the co-occurring disorder. This includes:
- monitored distribution of the appropriate medication
- ongoing psychiatric evaluations
- attendance at special workshops to learn how to cope with the dual diagnosis
