Residential treatment is often the first step along the journey towards a recovered and sober life. The treatment centers within the Sober Living by the Sea network recognize the importance of offering men and women the continuing care they need to both hone their existing skills and learn additional recovery skills, and are proud to offer partial hospitalization programming (PHP) as the second step in their care.
The Landing, our men’s addiction treatment center, and The Rose, our women’s addiction treatment center, both offer PHP to those who choose these centers to defeat their addictions to substances and manage the symptoms of co-occurring mental health conditions. Treatment at these world-class centers is structured as a three-phase treatment experience that assists men and women as they progress in their recovery, and PHP is phase II. Clients in phase II are able to receive support from the same staff and peers who supplied treatment and support during the residential phase of their treatment. Clients benefit from the following treatment methods during phase II:
- Individual therapy is provided to PHP clients of The Landing and The Rose so that they are able to process their progress, feelings, emotions, and experiences with a trained counselor. These sessions enable men and women to receive the one-on-one attention they need to continue working on their recovery.
- Group therapy is an important facet of treatment in the PHP phase of treatment at The Landing and The Rose. Just like in residential treatment, various group therapy opportunities are available to clients, which allows them to continue to receive the support, guidance, and encouragement from their peers and the staff members who lead groups.
- Experiential therapy is offered in PHP so that men and women can experience healing on a deeper level. Experiential therapy helps clients express themselves and come to understand the mind-body connection when it comes to healing.
At each of the Sober Living by the Sea centers that offer PHP, this level of care is designed to be a seamless transition from residential care and, once complete, to their intensive outpatient programs. The Landing and The Rose want to provide their clients with every advantage as they work to achieve their treatment goals and, similar to the residential level of care offered, treatment planning remains a personalized process so as to meet the needs of men and women who wish to become sober.
Furthermore, The Landing and The Rose also offer PHP to individuals who have completed residential treatment at another center. The Landing II and The Rose II are specifically designed for those men and women who are in need of continuing care and can benefit from the effective treatment these centers offer. When partaking in these programs, clients participate in both phase II and phase III (intensive outpatient programming) treatment so that they can receive support, gain skills, and develop the confidence necessary to leave their addictions in the past.
