Outpatient Rehab Program
Orange County's Leading Intensive Outpatient (IOP) drug treatment and alcohol rehab program. Outpatient programs work well for men and women with a stable home environment and a support system in place that allows them to live at home and get drug rehab treatment during the days or at night.

Outpatient Treatment - A "Step Down" From Residential Care
For some of our clients, the outpatient program is a gateway to successfully moving home and holding on to their sobriety date.
Other clients enter the outpatient treatment program directly to confront a problematic pattern of drinking or drug abuse.
Still others arrive at our outpatient program upon court order. The outpatient program allows an individual to live at home and receive a structured recovery program daily with our skilled staff of chemical dependency experts (treatment occurs on site at our Costa Mesa facility - right next to Newport Beach in the heart of Orange County).
The outpatient program is a close-knit group of people who meet with each other daily (during the day or evenings) to receive addiction education and participate in therapeutic processes. This allows a man or woman to live at home and still get the benefit of our 25 plus years of experience treating drug addiction and alcoholism.
Some components of the IOP program include:
- Alcohol / Drug Screening every 72 hours
- Individual and Group Therapy
- Assessment, Treatment and Aftercare Planning
- Access to all Facilities and Treatment Programs
A Message from The Director of Outpatient Services:
"We are dedicated to providing an outpatient drug rehab program that is very safe and
clinically effective. We want our counseling center to be a place for men and women to come each day and really embrace the change of sobriety.
We have had great results in our night outpatient program by using the time to really "dig in deep" and identify and address the participants' issues that are contributing to their substance abuse. Sometimes, people can surprise themselves with what they are capable of during our counseling sessions, lectures, and workshops.
We foster a team environment and there is a continuously evolving group dynamic in our program that witnesses the newcomer turning into a group elder. Some of the men and women who come in with the most doubt and fear turn into the leaders of the group with the most confidence. The sense of community and togetherness is seamless as some enter and others complete the outpatient program
Every member of our outpatient group will be encouraged to share and contribute as much as they feel comfortable doing. For some, we will push the limits of their comfort when it is appropriate. We do not tolerate participants who hinder the process or compromise the sense of security and trust we have created here. "

Legal Issues
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) clients are required to attend sessions at our treatment facility in addition to outside 12-Step meetings. If there are legal issues, our staff of legal experts can provide:
- Court Progress Reports
- Treatment Updates
- Letters of Completion
- Drug Test Results
Our staff will work directly with the courts and your attorney. Not only will Sober Living by the Sea provide all of these services and the corresponding documentation, but the recovering man or woman will receive an empowering education on addiction and the underlying issues that lead to substance abuse and chemical dependence.
Clients who participate in our outpatient rehab program will benefit from our 20-plus years of building relationships with therapists in the Orange County and Southern California area. We may recommend that additional treatment occur with a clinical professional who has special training for a client's specific issues.
