Our Mission - Treatment for Alcoholism and Drug Addiction
"Our Mission is to provide world class personalized care that is tailored to the exact needs of our client who will begin long term successful recovery with us in the world's premier recovery community."
There is a saying that goes: "getting sober is easy; staying sober is
the hard part." We've found over the course of the last twenty odd years that many recovering people can maintain sobriety for 28 days in the confines of a treatment center that is isolated and closed off from the public.
The first year of recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction, or eating disorders is the most difficult. We think the transition back to the "real world" should be made with structure, support and supervision. Research shows that residence at a supportive and caring treatment facility greatly increases the likelihood of successful abstinence.
In the eighties, rehab treatment for alcoholism and cocaine addiction were the primary needs of our clients. As the years have gone by, society's recovery needs have evolved and SLBTS has grown right along with those needs; we have expertise in successful treatment of:
- heroin addiction (including comfortable detox)
- crack cocaine addiction treatment (including comfortable detox with pain management techniques)
- methamphetamine (speed) addiction
- ecstasy, ghb, ketamine and other "club" drugs
- prescription medication (ex: vicodin) addiction
- eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive overeating
An admitting client may have special needs like requiring assistance with a painful detox from crack cocaine, heroin, or prescription medication. Our staff is available 24 hours a day to assist in getting our clients the help that they need. Sober Living by the Sea has an intimate understanding of the needs of more mature adult clients.
as well, including prescription medication (ex: vicodin) addiction.
Sober Living by the Sea has built an entire community of recovery and has a great staff of counselors and outside therapists that will help clients understand their addiction, and learn to prevent relapse by building a support system. Orange County California has a huge network of addiction specialists, hospitals, therapists and support groups to assist our clients who want to quit drinking or using drugs.
SLBTS is known for helping alcoholics and drug addicts quit and maintain sobriety. We do this in a number of ways, including specialized educational recovery programs. As clients go through the drug treatment and eating disorder rehabilitation
process, they learn that there really are other options. They master the skills necessary to recognize these options and how to incorporate them into daily activities. They may discover that the key to success is not in hiding from situations and relationships that may trigger their addictive behaviors, but that they have the power to make better choices to achieve the healthier lifestyle they desire. Our clients can always stay in touch. We love to hear from our alumni and we are here to offer support whenever needed.
When you go through Sober Living by the Sea, you join a support network that lasts for a lifetime. You have a lifetime membership to attend our numerous alumni activities .
