Trey Anastasio from PHISH talks about Drug Court
Trey has a compelling story to tell about his problematic addiction to painkillers and how drug court
Trey is an amazingly talented guitarist who just keeps getting better and better with time.
Trey was arrested in 2006 ago for possession and driving under the influence of narcotic painkillers and subsequently was sentenced to drug court.
Trey, who introduces himself as "a recovering alcoholic and a proud graduate of the Washington County Drug Court Program," states that "I believe that the police officer who arrested me that December Morning saved my life."
Trey goes on to discuss the difficulties of quitting drugs by his own willpower and how the Drug Court system was a much improved experience compared to a jail sentence.
