Does Anything Beat Sunrise, Dolphins, and Being Sober?
Eric V. and a bunch of Sober Living by the Sea clients go nuts yet again and have a great sober fishing expedition right in our backyard - the Newport Coast.
Eric VandenNoort's got it figured out. We've written before about his sober fishing expeditions but every time he shows me the photos and talks about deep sea fishing I marvel at how fun these excursions are.
When you clean up from drugs and alcohol and start doing cool things like sober surfing, sober soccer, and other rehab activities, being sober starts to seem really manageable really fast.
Eric says that he likes to take our newly sober clients out on the water and enjoys seeing their faces light up when they see their first dolphin or especially when they make their first catch.
Right now is a good time of year becasue the "late season fishing" has the potential for exotic specias such ast Tuna, Dorado, and Yellowtail. In the picture, Eric and a friend show off some freshly caught Sand Bass.
