Customer Service Philosophy - Staff Blog Entry by Kelly K.
Customer Service has always been extremely important here at Sober Living by the Sea.
Our primary purpose is to help a man or woman get off drugs and or alcohol and to help raise their self-esteem by doing estimable acts. Examples of the types of things we help men and women with are: developing healthy relationships, and developing a routine from the minute they wake up to the time they go to bed at night.
Perhaps that sounds easy enough. But if you add in drugs like:
- alcohol
- cocaine
- opiates
- oxys
- benzos
- marijuana
As well as "process addictions" to behaviors like
- gambling
- food
- sex
- shopping
and to top it off, most come to us after a short detox stay ....we have our work cut out for us.
Alcohol and drugs were not the problem - it was our solution. If Alcohol or drugs were the problem then detox would be the answer. We, as alcoholics and addicts, have living problems. People come to us like raw nerves, not knowing what to expect.
This is the time that we separate ourselves from other facilities. Like all facilities we have a great staff of admissions counselors and internet/ground marketing to get the word spread about how people can come here to get help for a chemical dependency (or for eating disorder rehab).
What separates us from the rest is the old fashion word of mouth. We have been treating addiction successfully for 25 years in the same place. We all know how many peoples' lives are negatively affected by drugs and alcohol. Here at Sober Living by the Sea we also know how many lives are touched in a positive way when a client leaves us to go back to their lives or to start a new one. We want them saying things like:
“It was life changing”
“It was just what I needed and I could not of been treated any better”
"If anyone has to go to treatment –you have got to go to Sober Living by the Sea hands down!”
By putting together a team of professionals that has taken almost 25 years, we are able to conduct business the old fashion way by providing a great service and earn new business by word of mouth. For everyone involved, it is a "win win" situation.
