Spice - The Party is Over

"Well that was fun" says a collective users of the drug “spice” who have been smoking Spice instead of marijuana - because it was “legal,” easily obtainable, and (most of all) didn’t show up on drug tests.

Spice became quite a phenomenon since it’s introduction in 2007 – particularly it became high profile as of late. However, it looks like Spice will not even be around to watch the ball drop on December 31st.Spice - Legal Marijuana

First, the increase in visits to the emergency rooms by young people.  Then the assertion by other young people that “Spice ruined my life

Now it appears the DEA has seen enough to make an emergency ban on the chemicals that are used to make Spice and other forms of “synthetic marijuana.”  This was inevitable but you have to hand it to the DEA for acting relatively quickly.

The Inventor of Spice Says Smoking Spice is for Stupid People

As we covered previously, according to this interview on Viceland.com the man who invented Spice, Hamilton Morris, is of the opinion that "smoking a compound with unknown biological properties in humans is a stupid thing to do."

When asked if he ever tried the drug he said “I believe that I am intelligent enough not to smoke or ingest one of our compounds for which no toxicity data is available. Also, as far as I’m concerned, alcohol is a very acceptable alternative to various other chemicals."  More of the interview is posted at the end of this article.

So the next time the underachiever on the football team busts out the Spice you can be relieved in knowing starting soon he’ll have to smoke real marijuana and get kicked off the team like all the other potheads at school.

Spice… it was nice (not really) but we don’t need to think twice – No DICE!

Here is more from the creator of Spice himself (from Vice magazine)

Perhaps you underestimate how much people like to get high. One published paper demonstrated that JWH-018 is metabolized into carcinogenic metabolites, which is very bad considering millions of people smoke JWH-018 each day.

Well, I might say, “Why don’t you stick to marijuana, because it’s safer.” Smoking a compound with unknown biological properties in humans is a stupid thing to do.

Have you ever tried synthetic cannabinoids?

I believe that I am intelligent enough not to smoke or ingest one of our compounds for which no toxicity data is available. Also, as far as I’m concerned, alcohol is a very acceptable alternative to various other chemicals.

Fair enough!

Dude what the fuck do you mean by saying that the underachiever is the one getting high. I smoke cannabis everyday and I have straight A's in school, a great job where I'm making $13.75 per hour , and I have a beautiful girlfriend. So tell me do I sound like an underachiever?

spell check much?

This is a rather ignorant and poorly written article. I'm high right now and I already caught several grammatical errors and misspelled words.
