We are hosting CAADAC Biology of Addiction Event with Hazelden TODAY

Our Costa Mesa Lecture Facility will be the site of an event that we are Co-Hosting with Hazelden for the CAADAC organization. the event is entitled The Biology of Addiction.

This forum will look at the biology of addiction witha review of the neurobiology and treatment of addiction. Objectives include developing and understanding of the brain's reward system, the changes in the reward system during the development of addiction, and the treatment and recovery process from a neurobiology perspective.

 

 
Speaker:
Tom Delzell, B.A., C.A.D.C., is the Evaluation Copunselor and facilitator for the Health Professionals Program at Hazeldon Springbrook. Tom has been a certified addictions counselor for 15 years and is an adjunct instructor at Chemeketa Community College, in Oregon where he teaches Addiction Pharmacology and Physiology. Tom shares a deep passion for addiction recovery, learned in part from his own recovery journey and his training in addiction science.
