In addition to being the CEO of Bayside Marin, Joe Tinervin also oversees operations for Duffy’s Napa Valley, Serenity Knolls and Sober Living by the Sea as a Regional Director of Acadia Healthcare. Joe has been working in the behavioral health industry for over 24 years and has truly worked his way up from the bottom, starting his career as a direct care/frontline technician working primarily with youth in psychiatric residential and hospital settings.
Eventually, Joe obtained a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University, Chicago and proceeded to immerse himself in a great deal of clinical work with individuals and families in psychiatric acute care, residential, and intensive outpatient settings. Joe specializes in crisis intervention/prevention having worked with public school districts, first responders, hospitals and residential environments by intervening in critical incidents, educating professionals about crisis prevention, and leading a national effort to reduce incidents of restraint and seclusion and promoting optimal therapeutic environments throughout the country.
As Joe’s commitment and passion for providing clinical excellence continued to grow, he entered into the administrative arena in 2004 with the goal of never losing touch with his clinical grassroots. That aspect of his background has been deeply incorporated into Joe’s leadership style as CEO for several treatment facilities across the country including Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Hawaii, Tennessee, and California.
